2018 SSDT Daily Routes
They're here! A key part of the build-up to any Scottish Six Days Trial is the announcement of the daily routes and we're pleased to release details of all six days that will challenge the 282 competitors at this year's SSDT. This change since last year in announcing all the route information in advance of the Trial will allow those who are travelling to take in the most famous of Motorcycle Trials throughout the week and who won't have access to a programme before arriving to plan their trip.
We would ask that if you are visiting the SSDT this year you do still buy an official programme though as all proceeds go to the Edinburgh & District Motor Club Lochaber Community Fund which supports charities and organisations in and around Fort William as our way of thanking them for their support and hospitality every year. Details of where to get your programme can be found here.
PS. Please don't even think of going practicing on ANY of the SSDT sections before the Trial. To do so puts the event at risk of losing valuable land access.
It's the seventh of May and the 2018 Scottish Six Days Trial officially gets underway with many familiar sections and lots to see
With first day nerves out of the way, it's time to knuckle down as the SSDT makes the first of two trips on the Corran Ferry
Almost at the halfway mark and the pain will be real as our riders head cross country to Kinlochleven and then down to Appin on day three
Into the second half of the Scottish and the much loved run down to Chairlift is back, as is Rannoch Moor and old favourite, Fersit returns after a break
Of course the penultimate day of the SSDT features the traditional run round the Moidart peninsula with no shortage of spots to watch the action
As the Scottish draws to a close, it's Kinlochleven in the morning then Ben Nevis or Glen Nevis in the afternoon, or perhaps drop in past Town Hall Brae
