Wednesday 9th May 2012 : Provisional Results
23:00
Results published! Whilst you're perusing them, why not enjoy some footage from today's trial, coutesy of our pals Bigfoot and Fugly? Today they were at the fab sections out at Coire Laire, Roughburn and Fersit.... Footage from Wednesday 9th May 2012 22:30 All books in and keyed - just doing the final checks now! Aiming to publish around 11pm! 20:15 Loch Eil Mhor books just in - that probably means that the rest of the Kinlochleven-based books won't be far behind. Meannanach and Fersit should be around the same time, so in about half an hour I reckon it'll be all hands to the deck in there.... 17:45 Coire Laire books in and keyed, and according to the chat going on at the next group of sections (Roughburn) they weren't easy going! Comments for the past couple of days have been that the sections aren't as tough as normal, so maybe they've been sharpened up today.... Roughburn books just in the door - we're off to key them now. Click the box below to follow them on the live results system!
15:00 That's the first books in folks - Loch Eil keyed, Annat in progress and Trotters just come in the door! As usual, you'll see them on the SSDT Live Results system! 11:00
The first man away today was number 93, Andrew Battensby from the Bedlington club. He set off at 7.30am, and all the other riders will follow at one-minute intervals throughout the rest of the morning. Wednesday's route is kindly sponsored by Off Road Moto and Birkett MotoSport UK Ltd.
Their route for the day takes them out through Corpach to Annat, up to Trotter's Burn, through Gairlochy and Spean Bridge en route to Coire Laire and Roughburn - two great sections, although they do need a solid pair of walking shoes to reach them! From there it's down to Fersit and into five groups of sections in the Kinlochleven area. Click the map at the foot of this article to view the details for the day! If you'd like to check on the progress of the trial throughout the day, we have GPS trackers being carried by our fore-runners (who run in front of the trial to make sure that all is well), six riders spaced throughout the day and our backmarkers (who run behind the trial picking up flags, markers and riders, where necessary!). Just click the big Spot logo at the foot of the page to see that....thanks to the makers of The UPY Liftbike for sponsoring this service and making it possible! Remember you can also keep track of the action through our webcams - again, the link is below. They're all based in the Parc Ferme, one overlooking the car park so that you can watch the bikes as they come in and out, and the others in and around The SSDT Hub. Speaking of the SSDT Hub, get yourself down there tonight! We've got a Pub Quiz going on, and it's going to be a great laugh - as well as that we've got bands playing before and after the quiz. It's fully licensed and snacks are available too, so a good night will be had by all! You can find out more about our Events In The Tent below too! |
