Post Pre'65 Scottish Review for 2012 E-mail

Pre65 LogoThe Pre'65 Scottish Trial Committee has now had their Post Trial Review Meeting for 2012. The general consensus was that the trial was another roaring success which was enjoyed by the majority of the entry and judging by the number of thank you letters received by the Secretary most thought that the organisers had the severity of the sections just about spot on. Only one rider has written complaining about a number of points including eligibility issues but, unfortunately, they were not man enough to put their name to the letter and one complaint out of 180 is not considered bad.

Eligibility was the main issue with the 2012 event with the disqualification of 5 riders following the machine check prior to the Friday start. These riders had declared components on their eligibility form but the components fitted to the bikes were not as stated. Due to this falsification these riders were taken out of the trial but were eventually allowed to start on a "No Award" basis as a goodwill gesture. This should be a warning to others to ensure that the information given is accurate and true so please take heed.

The Committee would like to extend their thanks to Wines from Spain for their continued support, the people of Kinlochleven for their warm welcome, Mr George Greenland for being Guest of Honour and everyone else who helped in any way but are too numerous to mention by name.

Preparations for the 2013 Trial will get underway shortly and entry forms will be available from 1 October 2012 on this website.
