If you haven’t sent off your entry for the 2014 Pre’65 Scottish Trial you need to do it NOW. Entries need to reach the secretary before Friday 6 December as the ballot is scheduled for Saturday 7 December 2013. As publicised already, 148 of the 2013 riders have taken up the option to guarantee their ride in 2014, but we still have 32 spaces and 20 reserve slots up for grabs so it is well worth getting that entry posted off. Entry forms are available on www.ssdt.org on the Pre’65 page.
The Pre’65 Scottish Trial will feature in Alan Wright’s Classic Offroad Show in Telford in February 2014 to celebrate our 30th anniversary.
Secretary Pre’65 Scottish Trial
Following several meetings in the aftermath of the 2013 Trial which ended in the cancellation of Saturday, the Committee have agreed that the riders from 2013 be offered the chance to guarantee their entry into the 2014 Trial if they complete the entry form which has been posted to them, ride in the same capacity class, fulfil all the other eligibility criteria and return it to the Secretary along with payment by Friday 16 August 2013.
The deadline for the offer of a guaranteed ride in the 2014 Pre '65 Scottish Trial for riders of the 2013 trial has now passed and the Committee are delighted to announce that there are 32 spaces available when the 2014 entry form is released on 1st October 2013.
The Committee for the Pre'65 Scottish Two Day Trial would like to thank Archie Plenderleith, a former Chairman for stepping into the breach at short notice to replace Mike Ransom as Guest of Honour when he took ill on the way to the event. Archie did a fantastic job in what turned out to be the wettest and most difficult year the trial has faced in it's 29 year history. The trial committee would also like to say a huge thank you to Wines from Spain as they come to the end of their 4 year sponsorship deal. It has been a pleasure working with them and their support has been very much appreciated. In addition, we are also indebted to Wines of South Africa and Putoline for their support for the 2013 Trial.
