Bumper Entry For 2018 SSDT
In clear testament to the ongoing success of the famous Scottish Six Days Trial, now that entries for the 2018 edition of this iconic event have closed, organisers can reveal a bumper entry of over 500 hopeful competitors will face the inevitable, but necessary ballot for the circa 280 places available at Fort William in the first week of May next year.
Whilst this extremely high entry was no doubt boosted by the incredible weather enjoyed by participants in this year’s event, changes put in place for 2017 following feedback from riders have been very well received and have also had a positive impact, leading to many wanting to come back for another Scottish.
In a repeat of the process put in place in recent years to allow those participants who are successful in the ballot more time to make arrangements around accommodation and time off work, the ballot itself will take place between now and Christmas, with all entrants being advised as to the status of their entry between Christmas and New Year.
If you have submitted an entry for the 2018 SSDT and have not heard from the Secretary regarding your entry by the 1st of January 2018, then please contact us, but NOT before 1st January!
The SSDT Committee would like to thank all riders who submitted an entry for your support of our event and offer our best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
