Adam Raga Conquers the Highlands to Win the 2026 Scottish Six Days Trial

9 May 2026
Spanish trials legend Adam Raga claimed victory at the 2026 Scottish Six Days Trial mastering the Highland terraine to add the prestigious event to his glittering résumé for the first time.
The 43-year-old veteran produced a near-flawless ride across six punishing days of sections and moorland across the Scottish Highlands. Raga dropped only 10 marks, holding off fierce competition from Britain’s top riders and a strong international field.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest indoor and outdoor trials riders of his generation, Raga has won multiple world titles and international championships, but the demanding Scottish Six Days Trial had long remained absent from his list of achievements. The event’s unique format — combining road mileage, changing weather, and traditional observed sections — has humbled many elite riders over the decades.
From the opening day, Raga looked composed in the notoriously unpredictable Scottish terrain. By Friday, the battle for victory had narrowed to a tense duel between Raga and leading British contender George Hemingway who at just 18 years old shared the yellow leader number board as they went into the final day matched on marks dropped. However, Hemingway’s hopes of a home triumph faded after the last day’s sections proved to be tricky and Raga managed to bring home the win. 2nd and 3rd place was a family affair with Harry Hemmingway finishing ahead of his brother in 2nd having dropped 11 marks over George finishing in 3rd with 12 marks. Another super close SSDT!
